My meeting with Guillaume Allemand
I discovered Guillaume Allemand's work at a Parisian fair. Wandering through the teeming aisles of an exhibition is a leisure activity that plays on the palette of your feelings. It was the almost divine black and white geometric beauty of Guillaume Allemand's ordered paintings that immediately transported me to a calm space, a haven of peace. I approached and looked closely at these algorithmic compositions. No repetition: the whole is a whole, but each piece that composes it is unique. Without the artist's help, it would have been impossible for me to guess the material used, animal bone. Once the amazement passed, I saw there, in the noblest way possible, a true ode to life and nature.
So shortly after, I contacted Guillaume Allemand to suggest that I "put his art into a candle". He had just made his first three-dimensional sculpture and the idea immediately appealed to him.
Here I present to you his composition Untitled in painting format, created in 2022, but for the Atelier Cire project Guillaume Allemand created Fragments 2 .
